Breastfeeding “Nurse Out” held at Lee Park

Charlottesville moms are celebrating a new Virginia law that protects women who breastfeed in public from being told to cover up or get out.

Wednesday the Blue Ridge Breastfeeding Coalition invited moms to a lunchtime “Nurse Out” in Lee Park to bring attention to a new law that went into effect. The law protects a mother’s right to breastfeed any place she is “lawfully present,” including stores, restaurants, pools, and gyms.
